I spent a lot of time playing the game on my own rather than on Twitch, mostly just to grind levels and get better items. I took this time to go through a lot of menus and other less exciting stuff, but there were still lots of simple problems everywhere I turned.
Gimme some space here
"Feel like lost."
"a huge whole"
Capitalizing this nickname would be preferred
This doesn't really need to be in quotes, but okay, sure
Now you're just trolling me
The creatures we know as "sirens" in English are called セイレーン (seirēn) in Japanese. It looks like at least one translator understood that, but clearly not everyone was on the same page
The word for "taco" - as in the type of Mexican food - is spelled タコス (takosu) in Japanese, which makes it seem like it should be translated as "tacos". So this mistake here is understandable but could've been easily avoided with some basic project communication
"dirict"
This line seems pretty decently translated, but it looks like nobody bothered to edit the text afterward
You can "chose" either of the two areas to "starts" your adventure
This 《GUILDS》 effect is what happens when you leave English text in the normal full-width Japanese format. It's kind of a rookie mistake but could've been avoided with proper project management and communication
"The Lead Team members are action"
WTF now "GUILDS" is normal, and we're still in the same help screen
"Only in the Control Area can you see return the result"
"If you find in the area you go the same object"
"travel to and for Control Area"
Using a ~ in translation is a gamble!
"Atmosphere" isn't wrong or anything, but the more common translation in situations like this is "mood"
In fact, it looks like one translator went the "mood" route... but not everyone. But why did they leave the Japanese quote marks untouched??
Work real hard to get someone's affection up so they can laugh at you in bed
Basically, it looks like one of the translators, if they found any text already in English in the Japanese script, left it as-is. That's not GOOD
Now "Good" is normal again! But the line still sounds wonky
"If your partner has really matures" - still, I'm impressed that someone knew that "he or she" is a thing to consider in English
"Complet" your mission
I'm gonna need a wider screen to read that
Is there a black smith in the house?
I need that wider screen already
Hungry monsters "come to find good"
What we call a "chimera" in English is often spelled キマイラ (kimaira) in Japanese, but the enemy name translator didn't seem aware of that
"It seems that to door is opened somewhere."
"It is written as the starry sky door......"
Come back, text, we miss you
I'm like 80% sure this is supposed to be "Tri-Resist"
And here too
I'm not even sure what this means
Lots info!
